SB vs HM

I tried made a body butter that turned out awesome, but the next time I made it, it turned out like mush. I took notes as a went, and did everything the same-ingredient/direction wise-the only difference is the first time I used my stickblender and the last time I used my hand mixer. Next time I'm definetely using the SB.:mad:

Hmmm...I've only ever used a hand mixer for mine and it turns out light and fluffy. The trick I've found is in freezing it between whipping sessions. Freeze for 5-7 minutes (gets solid on edges of bowl), whip for 30-45 seconds. Repeat again and again until it's fluffy. I can't imagine getting through it with a stick blender, unless it a tiny batch maybe?

The other thing I've found is without adequate freezing in between the whipping, the beaters will cause friction which warms the butter and deflates it. Ya gotta keep things cool. :)
