Probably the last time I used it was a year or so ago, so I don't know if anything has changed since then. Maybe someone will come along who has used it more recently. I have used the bases from Soap Wizards, BCN and SFIC with great sucess although not in the past three years as I do CP only now. I did not smell a "mildew" odor but it did have a strong chemical smell. Perhaps our noses smelled the same thing differently.
