Donita
Here are some recent experiments. Don't look at the candles, they are just made from scrap colors. I made these chunkies with chunks made of CBL 141 and no FO. The overpour is 4045 with 1 T steric and 1 oz FO. Starting from left is #1 sq, #2 sq, 36 ply and LX20. I have to burn the taller ones a little longer to see what they do. Just interesting to me to play with wicks. The jury is still out as to what I want to stick with. I keep changing my mind. drfeu
Are these 3'' ? The last one seems good to me, is that LX 20?
Donita
Yes, they are 3". At first I thought the LX20 wasn't getting a good melt pool, but after 2, 3 hour burns, this is what is happening. I think I might like it.

barbaranj
I use CBL 141 and I get great results on 3 inch molds with 24 ply. Just what you didn't need to hear....another wick to try!
eugenia
I use the 30ply flat in 3" w/1343. You have to remember, chunkies can take a bigger wick. 24ply probably would not cut it.e
