friendlyMOM
add more water to it? It came out more like a heavy cream. I have been playing with the recipe, oil wise, and not sure if anything else needs to be changed to make it thinner besides just adding more water. That is if I can add more water to it, thanks. Beth-VT
Adding more water will alter the balance/effectiveness of your preservatives, keep that in mind.

Purple Lilac
You could also add less E wax or bee's wax, which ever your recipe called for.

daniedb
The manufacturers of each preservative put out a usage rate on their literature. Most wholesalers will also put that in the info on the website. Bunny also has a great sticky with preservative info at the top of the page that should help. All else fails, google the name of your preservative with the added words usage rate or percentage and voila!
Crafty1_AJ
I use preservatives in lotions at 1% of total formulation. HTH
