burn test problems

Recommended Posts

hi everybody,

I need some advice with a problem I have on a new range of container candles.

I originally selected the wick after doing several burn tests in February, when the ambient temperature was about 22 degrees C.

I have now made my initial production run, and when I selected some candles from this to test burn, I am finding the flame size/burn rate have shot up, and there is slight smoke coming from candles during the first 30 minutes of the burn cycle.

The ambient temperature I am testing these at is now 30 degrees C +

I have eliminated most other factors, so is ambient temperature the most likely cause of my burning problems???

Any advice greatly appreciated!!
