Atticmonkey
Hi everyone,Has anybody tried monkey farts scent and if so what did you think of it? Also when you lable your candles to sell or give away did you keep the monkey farts name or change it a little bit? I just didnt know if people might get offended by the name, you wouldnt think anybody would think it was that bad but there are those people who just like to complain. Im sure everyone knows what I mean on that one. So if anybody can give me some insight on the scent please do. Id also like to hear about peoples first reaction to the candle when they read the scent. Thanks all.
kuepie
Hi, I do really well with this F.O. I do not change the name. It attracts attention, and you won't believe some of the comments. Not offensive in my book. Like one man said, "well, monkey's have to fart too".
annareeb
I love this one, i never change the name either... I love watching the old ladies giggle, I have never had a rude comment about it, or about lick me all over:laugh2:
islandgirl
Love this one too!! Did not change the name and it is one of my biggest sellers. The older crowd is a riot to watch at craft shows. They are not sure if the should open it up and smell it. I edge them on and they laugh, open it up ,and most of the time buy it for a grandkid!!Some people may get upset with the name, but for the most part, it is quite the gag gift. mizbizzyb
My testers hated the name. So I changed it...I personally liked the name and thought it was cute.
Glowlite
I changed the name to island tropics. Its a huge seller for me in candles and B&B
Trae
Guess I'm the oddball here. I couldn't sell that scent for the life of me. I don't know if it was the name or the scent itself or what it was but I tried keeping the name, changing the name and never sold one. Pretty funny that I can sell Butt Naked no problem but Monkey Farts never sold. Oh well.
Guest ShellyRobyn
I love the name! I don't sell it but I've got the FO and have made it for family and friends. To me, iIt's just kind of a "novelty" fragrance.
Terrie
I change the name only slightly.
Candle Man
I sell alot of it and did not change the name. I have some customers that really like the scent but I think most buy it just for the name as a GAG gift. I use a cute monkey graphic on my labels. I also have a sign with the same monkey on it with a thought bubble that says "Phew, What's that smell?"The first, and most heavy, note I smell is Bananna then other fruits. nanchris
If I carried it, I wouldn't change the name. I'm guessing it's mostly banana scented and no one seems to like anything banana around here, including banana nut bread. I'd leave it. Candle Man
I get mine from http://www.naturesgardencandles.com/candlemaking-soap-supplies/item/rf-031Here is the discriptionThis unique fragrance begins with top notes of fresh bananas and juicy grapefruit, middle notes of kiwi, juicy bubblegum, and strawberries; and a hint of vanilla as a base note. hawaiiansun
I use it in wickless candles, tarts and aroma beads. People like it and find the name interesting
Pam W
I smell mainly grapefruit - and since I don't like grapefruits, I don't pour this FO for myself but friends really like it so I make it just on special request. I originally bought it because of the name. Thought it would be an 'eye-catcher' which it is. One older lady requested one as a joke for her brother then order two more for herself...so ya just never know.
The_Dallas_Texas_Dean
I personally HATE this scent, but I know that others like it. For those of us true " woods" lovers, it just smells like sickening Fake fruity TOOTy to us.As far as the name...only you know your client base. Some are amused...some are not. Meridith
I sell it and didn't change the name either. I think alot of people buy because of the name and if it helps sell it, then I'm all for it. I too don't find the name offensive but am not crazy about the scent itself.
tarter
I get mine from NG and don't change the name. Many people buy it just for the name.
DENISE72598
I've gotten a great response from it!! I didn't change the name and it definately attracts attention.....smells like fruit juice....with top notes of banana.
joyofsoycandle
This is one of my favorite scents! I am not going to change the name, but i have seen it renamed Monkey Kisses. I thought that was kinda cute.
