TMeeks Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Hey everyone!Does anyone have any suggestions on what mixes well with Jasmine? I would love to try a couple of combo's and test them out! Thanks for any suggestions! Quote
Scented Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 RoseYlang YlangGrapefruitVanilla(I think a buttery vanilla would be good too )SandalwoodPatchouli (but if you do it I want a sniffie )Honeysuckle (might make a good combo)chamomileSageLavenderLemonOrange(I'm still thinking ) Quote
TMeeks Posted July 11, 2006 Author Posted July 11, 2006 Cool! I have almost all of those... I will begin to test away... Lavender seems to be really popular these days, so maybe I will start with that one! Quote
pamperme Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Definately try vanilla..I see that mixed with jasmine alot in other candles and bath & body lines Quote
Scented Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Hey I bet it would be quite pretty in a sweet musk or even a regular musk. Maybe even an Amber too. And I forgot to say carnation. I think it is pretty and soft with carnation. Maybe if you added it to a baby powder scent, it would make that baby powder smell better too! I'm not a fan of baby powder so I just might try this. Candle Man Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Honeysuckle is good.FYI - If you post in the Fragrance section you will get better response, this is the general candle section. Quote
judyvega Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 I've mixed it w/Fresh Linen (clean cotton would be good, too) - it smelled really fresh. Quote
KristinesShower Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 I always used green tea - it is definitely a different blend, but very nice and upscale smelling. Quote
Scented Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Jazzy and any water scent will be good too ... try some spring rain or ocean. I'm still thinkin'.Got any peppercorn? That is said to make jasmine more exotic. Quote
AngelaVA Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 I would definitely try mixing it with another floral, a fruit (like grapefruit or lemon or lemon sugar), a clean scent and/or a rain/ocean scent. Quote
mountainmadness Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 I like anything berry scented with Jasmine.I make a Blackberry Jasmine and it is a good seller. Quote
wildangel112 Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 On a whim, I soaped a combo of Tri-State's Southern Jasmine and AGE's Calendula FO, and it was wonderful. My mom has declared it her new favorite soap scent . Quote
Cissy Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 I just finished testing 22 FO samples today. One of them was Jasmine mixed with Magnolia and I loved it..2/3 Jasmine..1/3 Magnolia. My favorite floral so far since I'm not really into florals myself (prefer food scents). I haven't figured out what I'll call it yet. Maybe Magnolia Jazz. Any suggestions? Quote

CareBear Posted July 12, 2006 Posted July 12, 2006 Add some ozone-type scent to lighten it up... Quote
Scented Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 OK ya got any plumeria and ocean/rain or water scent? I'm curious how this would come out mixed with jasmine. (I'm just not curious enough to mix it lol) but it might be good with a touch of coconut. Quote
