Daisyd'Light Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Okay, so I got these wonderful wick samples. There is a cheat sheet on which containers to use them in. HOWEVER, it says 1/2", 3-4" and so one...Is this height or width?? :undecided (We're allowed 2 stupid questions a year, right?) Quote
candlesprite7 Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 usually means width/diameter...we only get 2 stupid questions a year? oh geez I am wayyy over quota.... Quote
OFCILynn Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 The only stupid question is the one not asked! Glad you got your answer! Have fun with your new wicks! Quote
Fern Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Not a stupid question at all for a newbie. Keep in mind though, that those are merely suggestions...or a starting point. Different waxes and different FO's and additives may require a smaller or larger wick. This is where testing comes into play. I might suggest that you order several different sized wicks, it almost always turns out that you will need a larger than the suggested wick size...at least that has been my experience. There is nothing worse than just having ordered a specific size wick, test it and find out it is way too small...then you have to reorder again...pay shipping again...and have to wait again for them to come in. Just something you might want to consider. Good luck! Quote
