CareBear Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Wonder if anyone ever tried a food dehydrator for curing their soaps? Quote
magsglass Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Carol, I did for some HP soap and it wasn't much help. The warmth of the dehydrator air at 125 degrees made them quite soft & sticky so I turned the heat down to 90 degrees. After 14 hours of dehydrating the outside wasn't sticky anymore, but just under that outside skin it was as soft as ever. I learned to take a water discount instead. Quote
CareBear Posted July 9, 2006 Author Posted July 9, 2006 Thanks, figures it couldn't be as simple as that .The water discount is my favorite idea since it goes all the way through, but I'm still learning my swirls so I'm keeping fairly close to the amount recommended on soapcalc.com. How low can I reasonably go with an FO that doesn't causes acceleration? Quote
