thecandlespastore Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 I have never had any complaints about my whipped shea melting in transit, but this past week I did get one. Leaked all over the place too, so I want to avoid this happening again. I sent a replacement out in a safe lok container, so hopefully that does the trick. But should I recommend to my clients to try and rewhip it back up if it melts, like say with a fork or something. Once it melts it just does not look the same anymore. Any tips? Quote
CareBear Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 I would tell them to just let it harden up a bit - that it has just reverted back to a "body butter" and to use it sparingly for the same result. and send them a credit to be used at a different time of year. Quote
thecandlespastore Posted July 8, 2006 Author Posted July 8, 2006 I sent a larger container of it. Quote

OFCILynn Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 I am so glad you posted this link!! I swear I told my husband to start saving these ice packs for me to use for shipping my items with! LOL Im glad to know that someone else does this and it works! He kinda thought I was nuts! The price of these are well worth it in my opinion as its cheaper than sending replacements and double shipping!!God Bless,Lynn Quote
TexasBrat Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 This is what I have been doing and I got it from the Dish. I make the crystals you use for smelly jellies and make them plump and put them in a ziplock baggie and freeze them. I have mailed a few things that way so far and they make it in good shape. I also make sure to mail priority and on Mondays. Quote
coloresse Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 Thanks for sharing the link for the IceBrix. At 6 oz., $.36 each - that's a GREAT idea! Quote
