I burned in room A, there was very little throw. When I walked into room B the throw was incredible. Please explain, I know I should know this but I dont. Im still new to this.

I know that I have experenced something similar. Where you put a candle in a room can affect scent throw. Has anyone else experienced this? Maybe that is what happned to you.:wink2:

i know as strange as this sounds.. this happens to me all the time. i was testing a candle in my bedroom and all the way down the hallway i could smell it, but once in the bedroom where the candle was burning i could not smell it. it didn't really bother me as the scent was great and i was happy that i could smell it so like i mentioned i didn't leave it bother me too much. but i've noticed diffrent homes seem to put off diffrent scents.. for example.. i will give my Mom a candle to test for me.. i will test the same candle .. when i walk into my Mom's house.. its like knock me over strong.. and my home i can barely smell it all.. there could be some candle nose going on with me.. but.. i really have noticed those things quite often.. i'm so glad my Mom tests my candles.. because if i can't smell it in her home.. it pretty much hits the scrap pile..

I'm having this happening in these evenings, but I was thinking it was because I burn the candle in the living room with the window opened, there is a bit of air going around the house because I have all the windows opened, so the scent is just out of that room, not in the room itself.

hope this makes sense

It might have something to do with the air flow of the house. Depending on the layout (open vs closed), the air flow can contain a scent in a room or spread it to several.

I have noticed this too and I think it has something to do with where the return air duct for the air conditioning is located. It seems to pull the

scent in that direction. It's either that.... or maybe ghosts!

I think the air flow does have an impact. I've figured out where in my house I can test and how far the scent can travel. If I burn a candle in my kitchen, the scent will go up the stairs but not back towards the living room. If I burn upstairs in the master bedroom, the scent will flow into the hall, but not into the master bath. Check to see where your vents and return vents are located and burn in many places to see what works the best. It's frustating, but you can work around it.

I have had this happen with some of my scents, and this was when all windows were closed and there were no fans or anything windy switched on. I couldn't smell much close to it but scent was strong in the next room. Unfortunately I can't remember which scents did this.
