CareBear Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 You using any beeswax in there? usually it's 1 part beeswax, 1 part butter, 1 part oil - but there are like a million viariations. One my BIL likes is just 1 part beeswax + 2 parts cocoa butter. Quote
lindsaycb Posted July 6, 2006 Author Posted July 6, 2006 All of the massage bars I've seen, don't use beeswax. Beeswax is more for lotion bars. Quote
CareBear Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 sorry, my mistake! Hmmm good question. I looked at the Lush website at their ingredient lists on their massage bars. I've bought plenty of them over the years. They are pretty solid, but not hard.I would probably skip the kokum, and use primarily cocoa butter and a little bit of shea. Tiny bit of oil, tiny. Now I have to go try to make some. Drat.I LOVE Lush's Amazonian: Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii), Palm Kernel Oil (Hydrogenated palm), Coconut Butter (Cocos nucifera), Tangerine Oil (Citrus reticulata), Ylang Ylang Petal Oil (Cananga odorata), Patchouli Oil (Pogostemon cablin), Orange Blossom Absolute (Citrus dulcis), Perfume, Fresh Orchid (Symbidium), Quote
