nuriadc8
As you know I'm new at making candles. I was making one just now and put the mold sealer in the jar with the wick tab and wick and when I poured the wax the mold doesn't stay on its place, Can somebody give me some ideas here:cry2:
Glowlite
Mold sealer probably isn't the best thing to use to hold down your wick tabs You need silicon or high temp glue or wick stickies.
tlc26
I make pillars and my mold sealer (the grey sticky stuff that looks like silly putty) gets ooey gooey when warm! While it is much harder when it is room temp or cooler. Mold sealer is used to plug wick holes or seal any holes around the wick and wick hole on the outside of the mold. If you are making containers you should use one of the methods Glowlite suggested!

nuriadc8
I'm sorry, you mean glue guns?
Glowlite
The silicon you can buy at home depot. It comes in a tube. The high temp clue you use either the gun which can be a pain in the asss or a glue melting pot. The wick stickums you can buy from a candle supply place
