I was told to buy a presto pot to start everything, I went up to the store today and they have a $60 and $70 one.I was told the one I need is 23. I couldnt find it anywhere. What one am I looking for?

Also what kind of scale do I need? Will a postal scalework? Helpme I am clueless.

Also about the heat gun, I was told an embossing gun would work as well. Is there a certain one I have to get or will anything work for now.Thanks to everyone on the boards for being so helpfull.

I've never seen a presto pot for more than $20-25....what store did you go to? I may be wrong but sometimes they can be called/confused with a Kitchen Kettle (?) I got both of mine at Walmart for about $20. I got my embossing gun at Michael's for about $20 as well, but I have also seen them at craft stores such as AC Moore, Jo Annes, etc. I got my digital scale at Walmart too for about $25-30....it was in the section with the kitchen accessories, pyrex measuring cups, etc. I hope this helps in your hunt!

If it blows heat and can melt wax then that's the kind of embosser or heat gun you want

I went to wal mart. It was a presto pot. I figured that was not the one I was looking for.Maybe they are sold out. I was hopingto find one soon though. I want to start making frangrence du jour.

The presto pot is in a super ugly orange box. (Think 70's shag carpet.. Goes well with the avacado green...lol)

Heat guns, presto pots (kitchen kettles) and postal scales are inexpensive. All can be bought at your local favorite store.

Lots of sellers on ebay have great prices on digital scales. Do a search for them.
