TartAddict
Good Morning!I made a candle in a 20 oz keepsake jar (from Wal-Mart). I single wicked it using a 51z. When I went to trim the wick I got distracted (two year old boys do that to you, LOL)..and trimmed the wick way to small...grrrr. Now the flame is pretty small and I'm worried it will drown. Any suggestions, or do I just suck it up and start anew? Thanks all D
eugenia
While lit, carefully tilt it and pour a bit of wax out. That should save it from drowning.

mystical_angel1219
I would blast the top evenly with a heatgun, and then dump the excess on a plate covered with layers of papertowels. Then let it congeal a bit, turn right side up and give it another blast to clean the container. I wouldn't light the candle until you remove some of the wax, personally.Candles do have memory, and that is not a myth. You don't want a tunnel in the middle of your candle. TartAddict
I dumped the wax, and it did tunnel a little bit...BUT...I came to the conclusion that I'll have to double wick this container anyway. Oh well, live and learn Another beautiful candle to stick on my candle warmer, LOL.
