Georgia Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 I have been burning a votive in my half bath (it's what? 3x8?) for 4 hours and can't smell a thing. I made a tart from the left over wax. About a half hour ago I put that in my tealight tart burner and THAT I can smell....and it is in the livingroom/dining room. It's a para/soy blend I am testing. The wick in the votive is an HTP41. Scent is MacApple @ 6%. Fairly normal combo for me.Is it possible for an FO to throw in a tart, but not a wicked candle? Quote
Demenshia Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 I find my tarts always have a stronger scent than do my pillars/containers. I think it has to do with the temp of the melt pool as well as the flame on the wick evaporating some of the FO... Quote
Fern Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 I can rarely get a votive to throw well...I can only hope for light to moderate throw at best...that's why I hardly ever make them anymore. I've read others on the board have some that throw real well...I wish I knew their secret. Quote
Margaritamama Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Could you perhaps be suffering from candle nose?!?!?!? Quote
