CSAS Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 I have oils that are 3 years old and still going strong. I made some grapefruit candles about 2 weeks ago and when I went to wrap them, I could not smell them at all!! I usually take a whiff of the FO in the bottle before I pour (just in case), and apparently I didn't for these. I went back and smelled the FO, and it had no smell to it whatsoever. It was Grapefruit Special from BCN (Special means that it was a clearance FO-so who know how old it actually is). I purchased the oil at the beginning of 2004, so to me it was only 2 years old. I had 2 bottles and neither had any scent to them. I even had a pink grapefruit from BCN, and IT didn't have a smell either. I purchased a replacement from NG (Ruby Red GRapefruit) and IT IS kickin'!!Just a little story to share. Quote
tlc26 Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 I had stargazer lily from Peak go bad in less than a year. It still smells but it smells quite rank! I plucked it out a few weeks ago to use and I think I got maybe in August of last year. It happens. Quote
Scented Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 Heck I weeded out about 15 scents that had been sitting too long ... and lost their smell. Quote
SheilaW Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 I so need to go in my work room and start sniffin. What a waste to have so many fo's that I may have let some of them go bad:shocked2: Although I did buy a lot off the classifieds so I didn't have to spend top dollar but still ( hanging my head in shame ) Quote
