chiptooth Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I've been using a roll of shrink wrap, cutting into squares and wrapping the votives sort of like a present. Everyone has said they look professional but I'm particular and don't like all the excess on the sides and thought I'd be better off using tubing. I saw some at papermart that is 8" wide but you have to buy a roll of 1500 ft. for that size. It would take me forever to use all that for how much it costs. I thought about buying a small heat sealer (like for potatoe chip bags eurosealer) to make my own tubing but didn't know how well these smaller ones worked. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.TIA Quote
klo Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 If you want to wrap them individually, it will be hard. I have a roll that is 12" and if you make the tube, for me at least, its hard to get the votives down in it. I have tried putting them in, then making the tube, turning it and sealing each one, but they move around and its a pain. Maybe someone else knows a trick. I have wanted to try the votive tubing because when I see them in stores, they look great that way. Quote
dcroome2005 Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 I can't help ya on this. I use cello bags for them. If there are 10 or more, I put them in the plastic votive holders that fit 12. I don't have the time to sit there and shrink wrap each votive. To me, its more time, more money and I just don't want to do it. I hope you find what you are looking for to work for ya :-)Christina Quote
chiptooth Posted May 10, 2006 Author Posted May 10, 2006 Thanks for all the advise. I've actually gotten pretty quick at shrink wrapping them with the squares, but just don't like the excess stuck on the sides. When I do a craft show I don't have the room to put individual boxes out or displays for each fragrance and so I want to have them individually wrapped so I can put them in a basket so fragrances don't mix. Where can I find the 4" tubing? Quote
Scented Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 You can find 4" tubing at http://www.packcoinc.com/ and free shipping over $25. One tube will last you awhile, a long while lol, but good, quick service! Quote
