friendlyMOM Posted May 8, 2006 Author Posted May 8, 2006 does anybody use peanut oil, seen it clearanced in my grocery store as they wont be selling it anymore and they have a tone of it for 75% off, but not sure if its any good for soap Quote
SoapInTheCity Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 With so many peanut allergies I think if you were wanting to give this soap away or sell it, it may not be a good idea. If you are making this soap for yourself, I'm sure you could use peanut oil. Why don't you try sunflower, soybean, olive, grapeseed, lard, crisco. They are all reasonably priced oils at the grocery store. Quote
Purple Lilac Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Peanut oil is suppose to be good for oily skin, but like Soap in the City mentioned many people are allergic to it. It may be okay just to experimentwith but just be aware about the allergy factor. Quote
