friendlyMOM Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Not sure where is the cheapest place to buy it, but was wondering if it would help with areound the house molds, was gonna try a few things out for molds but afraid it would stick, so does the mold release really help or can I use pam?? Quote
Scented Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 you can use pam or veggie oil, just be sure to wipe off any excess and make sure to hit all the crevices. Quote
Breanna Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Can you use Pam for tart molds too??You sure can!!! I use Canola spray on all my molds and it works great,,,spray a wee bit then wipe out the excess,,HTH Quote
friendlyMOM Posted May 8, 2006 Author Posted May 8, 2006 thank you gonna put it on my grocery list now! Quote
fredron Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Maybe I've been extremely lucky, but I've never used anything to release wax from molds, and never had a problem. I use 6228 for pillars, tarts, and votives. I bought some silicone spray a couple years ago, but never needed it for candles. My windows slide like butter though.FredronWaxes 'n WicksLighting the world one candle at a time. Quote
Scented Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 I don't typically use a mold release either, but just noting that she can use Pam or veggie oils if she wants. As for tart molds, I really don't even see a need for a mold release. If they won't come out when cool, they will if you pop 'em in the fridge for a couple of minutes. Quote
friendlyMOM Posted May 8, 2006 Author Posted May 8, 2006 the reason I asked is because I tried the baby formula can and every time it sticks too bad so gonna try to pam it, but you have to be sure to take wire cutters and get the rim off before releasing it from the can but they look great when i get them out thought it might be easier and less cracks with pam thanks all Quote
