TexasBrat Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 What does it feel like when it is done? Is it kinda spongy? Does it crumble while using it in the shower? Quote
Kaybee23 Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 I am curious as well. There is some good information over at the Whisk if you don't get any replies. Quote
quiltnsoap Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 Do you mean "done" as in cured? It shouldn't be crumbly but mine is...not spongy, really, but certainly not has hard as my CP soap. However, I have used other people's whipped soap and it was really hard. Recipe differences, I suppose. It will be used up quicker, as there's not as much soap with all the air whipped into it.P.S. My first post! (although I have 36 pm's:shocked2: ) Quote
Bunny Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 Hey.. I think I recgonize you! Are you on the dish too??Anyhooo.. Welcome to CT!! Quote
BubblesBC Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 Mine was hard as a rock - I used one of the recipes that the tutorial maker (Nizzy) posted & I think it had 50% palm. I found it lasted very well although it didn't feel as nice on my skin as some other recipes-but not bad at all either. It was fun & it was really nice to have lots of "play" time to do swirlies. pixie*dust Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 When I made some a few months back, it wasn't real hard(though could have been my recipe) wasnt really spongey though. It did get harder the longer I had it on the rack, though it also developed DOS.. my first experience with DOS.It was really easy to make, colored really well, scent was difficult for me, seemed for me I had to use way too much for it to come thru.It did float, was spongey lookin, with all the little air holes, though that could have just been me as well, lol. Will I ever do it again... nope... not with the DOS.pix Quote
