mterrell77
I am using 1239 wax trying to wick 3" pillars. I have tried so many wicks and I am not having any luck at all. They burn fine for about 2 to 3 hours then they always start going over one side. What wicks do you all use and have you had this problem? Thanks so much!Marie
Scented
Here's just a question. Are you pre-wicking your pillars and then pouring? If you are, are you making sure the wick is taunt in the mold and not just loosely there?

It needs a hardener. At least stearic acid if you're making a mottled candle. With other candle types you can use stuff like Vybar and Universal Additive and get even better results. Once you've got that covered, experiment with the wick size to get the best burn.
