OK is ricing when you add an FO and it looks like rice is coming to the top, actual white mini turdy looking things?

LOL! I love your choice of words! :P Yes, it looks like little pieces of rice coming to the surface. Sometimes if you just stick blend it like crazy, you can get rid of it. I have had it once.

ROFLMAO, very descriptive Julie!!!!!:laugh2: I'm taking it that your Amber Romance "riced" on you! Beat the devil out of it with the stick blender and slam it in the mold girlie. Be brutal with the thug!!!! :yay:

I beat it ... and whipped it and cussed at it ... and I think it ended up disappearing. Didn't notice any clumps or bumps when I poured. Mind you Sherie, one of us needs to make a trip, because I have to learn how to swirl, twirl or make pretty stuff.

Looks groovy, Carrie!

ETA: Yes, ricing looks like little coagulated clumps of soap batter. Kind of like rice pudding. I've had it happen to me a few times. I just beat it back into submission with SEÑOR STICK BLENDER and slam it into the mold as quickly as possible. ;)

LOL, most of the beauty of the bar is the ash. All of the added color seems to ash with my new recipe. I have just learned to put it to good use.

I pour at thin trace, then SB my color into some of the reserved soap. This makes it thicker. Then pour/blob it into the mold from about 18-24 inches above the mold. Then I use the handle for my silicone spatula and run it back and forth side to side then end to end then repeat both. I make sure the handle is touching the bottom of the mold the entire time. It just seems to work. I could never swirl before because I was letting the soap get to medium trace and it would go too fast and the swirls would suck.

Oh yeah, that was my first 2 color swirl. Red and Yellow. I think it worked pretty well.

UM Pretty well???? Yes to say the least it worked "pretty well". I'd say that I have a bad case of soap envy right now so yes it worked "pretty well". :shocked2: Wow you did a very nice job, weather it was your 1st try at 2 color or not that soap is beautiful.

Thank everyone. I overstir everytime. It is pretty. Next time I'll take a pic of the whole slab.

Scented, when you get that slab mold you will be awesome at swirling. You have an incredible sense of color and design. Just look at your pillars!

Aww thanks Carrie. Gotta say I don't think that coloring is necessarily true. Tried cutting my fingers crossed soap and it's still too soft to chop. It will be interesting, but probably nothing that will show up on digital lol.

I'm patiently waiting for that slab mold. Like it should be here by now damn it! LOL!
