Hurricane molds

Recommended Posts

You can use the molds you already have. I have little rubber plugs that I put in the drilled wick holes. You can put metal tape over the holes too. (Aluminum tape from Walmart) Just be sure that the candle is large enough so it won't melt the sides, or fill the center with wax so the tea light is closer to the air at the top. I have used small wastebaskets and metal bowls for hurricanes. Portia taught me how to make a bowl candle and I used the one from my electric mixer. It is on my website....It is filled with water and has a floating candle in it. I make a lot of hurricanes. My first mold was a salt box......then margernine tubs....so you see...just be creative. Good luck and have fun. Donita
