TerriWV
Has anyone ever (not sure it's even possible) seperated a batch of soap into 2 seperate bowls, color each one and pour them both at the same time into the mold? I was wondering what the "swirl" or color effect would be. I wondered if it would mix to some ungodly color or if it would actually turn out neat. I'm sure it would probably take 2 people to do it at the same time, unless some one other than me is that coordinated. It was just a thought. Purple Lilac
Done it many a time. Some of the color does mix together but onthe most part it works pretty good but thenagain it depends on how heavy of a trace you pour. If you pour at a heavy trace you can do this. I have even separated a batch into 4 different colors - this of course I needed 2 other hands to help out.
TerriWV
That's neat looking. Yea I was wondering about the trace thickness part too. I figured it would have to be on the thicker side.
Purple Lilac
Thanks. You can pour at a lighter trace but the colors get more incorporated. It just depends on what effect you are looking for.
KristinesShower
Actually that was the first way I learned how to swirl. Two separate colors and I poured them both in the mold from a high distance. They didn't turn out bright or really swirly (like pop out), but they were there.I am swirl challenged!!
