Sndfrddy
I was reading about using paypal to process credit cards. I'm currently using Mals shopping cart and Propay to process credit cards. Can I use PayPal to manually put in CC information to proocess someone's credit card and not get charged a fee or am I just wishful thinking? TIA
cindym
Wishful thinking.
daniedb
Yep, sadly, it's wishful thinking. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain you have to have some kind of merchant account in order to be the CC processor yourself. 7Angela7
I didn't go to the paypal site, I'm just going off memory here, but correct me if I'm wrong. To be able to input the customer information yourself, you'd have to have their virtual terminal account, which is $20/month. Regardless, there is always a fee associated with paypal when doing any transaction with a merchant account.
sudsnwicks
Yes, it is $20 a month if you want to be able to process CCs manually. At that price, it would be cheaper to use Propay.
