(they never wanted to hear the excuse of "I didn't have a quarter to call and tell you I was going to be late" again) LOL. Actually it was more of a safety thing once we started driving, and then it was just nice to have when we were starving college students. I don't think it cost much - maybe $.25 a call. The only down side was that when the phone rang at their house you didn't know if it was coming from the 800 # or the regular line, so I guess you would have to get a whole seperate number.
