joyofsoycandle
WOW, thats one way to do a 4-wick candle! I may not know exactly what im talking about because i havent seen a candle like this before, but isnt the flame pretty big?
Garf
That's the way I do these because I do this to use up contaminated wax. That requires a hot flame.

Do you mean wax that is recycled? i have never had to do that before, even when using recycled, so I am lost. What do you mean by contaminated? Midnight20
That there should set off the smoke alarms, I had a candle do that a while back, not one of mine. It was one my daughter didn't like, and she gave it to me. It was so smokey it set the alarm off.

Candle Man
Now that would be a great way to wick an outdoor "Sketter" candle, it would smoke them all away.

Do you mean wax that is recycled? i have never had to do that before, even when using recycled, so I am lost. What do you mean by contaminated?Contaminated, as in leftovers from things that didn't burn right the first time. This includes scrapings left over from various containers. I don't waste anything but time.

Grumpy Girl
So... let me see if I understand this correctly... to use up wax you are going to toss anyway, or at least should, you add in 4 wicks and a tealight holder to the cost mix?Um, okay. The wick is part of an old roll of lead wire core wick from 20 years ago that should have been tossed out long ago. In other words, no real cost involved. As you can see, i've been at this a long time.

joyofsoycandle
As long as you are not selling those, and making them only for yourself, then i dont think its as big of a concern. But Its obviously not a safe candle to burn. Are you just burning those for yourself?
