jenniejr
I made some tonight for my daughter and her friends. The recipe I was given said to use:GlycerinFood ColoringOil of your choice (sweet almond, castor)Lip flavoringVit. EI made this using the castor. I am NOT happy. The colored part (glycerin & color) is fine. The part that is supposed to be clear (with the castor) is NOT clear. It is yellowish and cloudy! UGH! Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Is there a better oil to use than castor so it is not so thick and it is actually clear? Thanks
TexasBrat
Mine have a bit of a yellowish yellow color. It doesn't bother me. I think I tried subbing the castor for sao and it was gross. Here are mine
luckygemini
When I make them I use a combo of castor and sweet almond oil, never had a problem with them being cloudy or yellowish. I feel castor oil is a must because of it's glide and shine. I have tried it with just SAO and didn't really care for it.

maryann
Mine are clear. I use SAO and 15 drops of Vit E. I wonder if your flavoring is making the mixture yellow?? I've also gotten the same oil from differ places and the colors are differ when put side by side.
KristinesShower
Your vitamin E is making it yellow. What is the % you used for the castor/vit E mix?
