Crafty1_AJ
OK, I see from my searches that Peak Rose is a good soaper. No D. Some of you had acceleration, but others didn't, so I figure if I soap it cool I should be OK.The thing I couldn't find was notes on how well it sticks. Does it last in soap for a decent amount of time? Or does it fade? At what level did you soap it? (1 oz. ppo, etc.)Thanks!
Bunny
Sticks like crazy.. 1 year old soap still stinks like roses! (I'm not a floral girl..lol)
Bunny
Oh, and I do it at .5 oz ppo.
Crafty1_AJ
Gracias. I'm not a floral gal either, but danged if this isn't the finest rose fo I've ever sniffed! Closest to the flower I've found, and not heavy, perfumey, cloying, or "old lady," kwim? LOL
Bunny
I know.. but man it stinks! Rose lovers buy it like crazy though..
cindym
Hi AJ I love to soap Peak's Rose like Bunny .5 oz pp It is all you will smell on your soap rack:p
RobinInOR
Yup, extremely strong - it's the Rose I use. I found it easier to work with if I hand stirred it in and didn't use a stick blender after.
SheilaW
I have some that's over a yr.old and the smell is still very strong!
Crafty1_AJ
Thanks, guys. I had a feeling this one was going to be a winner!
Sara
Another Rose user here. I just love it. Like mentioned - nice and strong at low percentages. And no discoloration, too, that is wonderful.
Crafty1_AJ
Ya mean if I call it "Pink Rose" I could actually make it PINK? There's a switch!
Sara
Haha. Yeah, I know. Seems simple, but *such* a joy after battling vanillas that turn brown on ya.
Bunny
Hmmmm.. I didn't have any problems with acceleration at all.. But then again, I don't use a water discount.
Crafty1_AJ
Haha. Yeah, I know. Seems simple, but *such* a joy after battling vanillas that turn brown on ya. Oh yeah, I was agreeing with you. I was making a vague reference to soaping Pink Sugar, which is NO WAY JOSE ever gonna be a pure pink soap. LOL
Sara
UGH. Yes, the infamous Pink Sugar. Maaaan, hard to explain to a customer that it is PINK sugar when it looks like POOP sugar.
Crying Moon
I used the Peaks Rose, and made the mistake of adding a little rose hip powder to it at trace, which was almost immediately. Boy, was that ever a mistake! Turned it tan/brown. It now goes by the name of "Dead Rose". I never used rose hip powder before and this was one experiment gone bad. Ya live and learn.Still smells strong and true though.
