Cindy/WI
Wondering what wick you've found works best in this wax? I always used the RRD's in the C 2 wax but I feel I'm just not getting a real good scent throw with those wicks in C 3 wax. TIA Cindy/WI
Fire and Ice
I always use zince wicks in both the C-2 and the C-3. Never have had a problem with getting excellent scent throw.
mystical_angel1219
I believe this wax needs a good curing to accurately gauge any scent throw. That could be the culprit.
Fire and Ice
I agree with Mystical! I cure my candles a minuim id 5-7 days at the very least!
Cindy/WI
The thing is these have cured for 2 weeks now. I know some FO's will throw and some just don't but the ones I'm testing right now have always threw really well for me that's why I was thinking it just could be the wick itself. I'm testing with a HTP 105 in a 9 oz Victorian jar right now just to see if it could be the wick. Also have you found useing 6% rather than 8 % FO with this wax you get a better scent throw? I know more FO doesn't always mean a stronger smelling candle. Maybe I've just got candle nose or something but I did take a couple days off from pouring because I had my Grand kids for 3 days (10, 5 & 10 months) and had my hands full with them. lol Thanks for your help, Cindy/WI
Scent Cellar
Out of all the waxes I have tried the C-3 gave the worst hot throw. It didn't take long for me to realize this wax was not for me. Easy to wick but the throw was not what I am used to getting...regardless of the curing time.
Fire and Ice
I use 1.2oz per pound and have never had a problem with throw.
