Bunny
Almost every single oil you use either has nuts in it or has been processed in a plant that also makes nut products. If a person is allergic to nuts, I'd highly recommend they NOT use any homeade soap. HTH
shell1226
I'm with Bunny on this one. I don't make soap, but I have a nephew that has many food allergies. Peanuts and tree nuts are hard because of the oil... High chance of cross contamination with other things.
Sara
That said, beyond the allergy, the crushed nuts might be for the scrubby effect. So the almond oil wouldn't be a suitable sub. There are many different scrubbies you can use to replace that. (seeds, ground oats, etc.)

Sara
Ah well. I can see where your train of thought was coming from. It is something to be aware of, though, people with allergies.
