OutlandishLady
I made up a few batches of aroma beads and had two that either the FO was bad or it had some sort of bizzare reaction and they smell horrible. Can I do anything with these? I hate to just pitch them. Wash them out and let them just sit until the scent is gone? Anything? Help! AngelaVA
I've never tried removing the scent. Not sure it can be done, since the beads absorb the oil and aren't just coated with it. Maybe someone else knows if there is a solution for you.
Tess
Now this is "just a thought". I know it works well getting old "scent" out of jars. I have some of that "Mold Cleaner" from CW, (that stuff does wonders), I use that to get rid of scent in old jars. IT does well getting scent out of my pour pots too like after Lavender or Downy. What you could do if you have this stuff or something similar, is flush the aromas beads and let them soak. I do not know how well it would work, and I honestly do not know anyone who has ever "removed the scent" but it is worth a try. How big was your test batch? I never do more than 4oz, and then it is no big deal to chunk.
fiftycupsofcoffee
I have only used these in my house plants soil, so i am not sure how this works but I might just let them soak in water and drain them every night to "flush" out the sent.
