shafferbuns
I know I've read about this but did a search and didn't come up with anything. On a couple of fragrances I'm trying, after burning when the melt pool cools,it's a different color than the rest of the candle. For example, one ivory colored candle has a slight green hue to top now. What causes this? Am I not mixing it enough? or does it just happen with some fo's? PamR
I've noticed this with different fos. Also, if I over wick a container, it seems the heat will scorch the top layer of wax, especially in white or ivory ones. Just the nature of the beast I guess.Pam R
Bev
This happened to my White Tea & Ginger. I did not color the wax for this fragrance, but the melt pool, once cooled, took on a grayish tone.

shafferbuns
Thanks here too, I know one is over wicked, but I really don't think the ivory one is. Still testing it tho.
bugtussle
Some scents/wax combos just turn colors (yellow-darker) when burned. I don't think it's always overwicked. I just learn to live with it.
