Tammy1048
Are you wanting to paint the outside with acrylic paints? I am not sure I understand your question...but I have painted on candles before. If you can let me know what kind of paint you are wanting to use I might can help. Tammy1048
You could use Folk Art Acrylic paints and use the color Licorice which is a black. Not sure on the other.....

Mozzie
I see that on the same website as the cat moulds there are paints for sale: http://www.spiritcrafts.net/missup.html. Any type of acrylic craft paint should be fine. Good luck.
sharyl55
Do you have any hobby of craft stores there? If so they probably carry acrylic paint. For cat eyes that would work fine. Or here is a link to liquid candle wax paint some members have used to decorate their candles. I have not tried it.http://www.uchida.com/what/art/as.htmGood Luck and post a picture when you have made your cat.
fefeli
hmmm I don't have mold for cat, it was only an example I want to use some stensils to paint candles. We have hobby stores but they don't have so many things. Some other times I can find what I want in english language, but I spent many hours online until I understand the way to describe it in Greece. Like when I search for hot gun last week, here they used hot guns only for remove old colors from wood or join plastics. I spent many hours until I understand where probably sell hot guns and how can i ask it in Greek :undecided
Mozzie
here they used hot guns only for remove old colors from wood or join plastics. Heat guns are used for the same reason over here. You will find that candle makers use lots of tools that are really designed for another purpose. Perhaps if you are having trouble finding a tool in Greece you could ask this forum what it is really meant to be used for. καλή τύχη(!). (I hope that means Good luck). sharyl55
I am going to pass on a tip from Donita, who makes awesome, unique candles. Spray the candle with Krylon Matte Finish before painting. Give the candle 3 coats, letting it dry thoroughly between each coat. Then paint your candle. Krylon is the brand name. The key is Matte Finish. The hobby or art supply stores in your area may carry it. καλή τύχη
