Soya
I use the Pink Sugar from Peaks. I tried 1.5oz per pound and it makes my wicks drown. What is the maximum you think I can use? Is this just a hard Fo to wick? Thank you
Meridith
I don't use Peaks' Pink Sugar but another suppliers (ICS). I use it at 9% and don't have to wick up.
dixylight
I use BCN's and have to wick up on it at 9 percent. I have heard others do too. HTH
Casey
Try Eco series. I find they are a bit more "robust"
Soya
Thank you Ladies Guess I will just have to wick up...didn't really want to since I make my candles in tins...the wicks are going to look ugly that big.
smellywax
I used 1 oz per pound but I noticed with pink sugar, it needs to cure longer to get the great smell from the soy.
dandelion garden
I gave up on Peaks pink sugar.I was using 1oz/lb & HTP wicks- after I tested up to 3 sizes above what I was using in my other tins, I decided I didn't want to go any bigger. smellywax
I use 3 LX 18 wicks in the Heart dish w/this scent and 1 LX 18 in Jelly Jar...no problems...smells great!
LynnS
I would say to much FO.I only use 1 ounce per lb.I did get Pink Sugar but haven't made a candle.I will see how it is with 1 ounce FO but if not enough scent throw would maybe go with 1.2 ounces. What I want to use Pink Sugar for mostly is soaps and lotion.
Soya
I went down on the FO to 1oz per lb and it works. Am also getting a great throw when testing in the bathroom. One thing I have learned about these tins is that you have to test burn to the bottom.I always get hang ups the first 2 burns...then it all comes down. elliecat
this has been a pain to wick, i use hardly any scent only 4 grams for a 4 oz candle, barely any color..... cd's haven't really worked well, lx's are mushrooming like crazy now curing the eco 4....hope the eco works!! Stella1952
Sometimes less is better. The comment about length of curing time is also a point well-taken. Glad you found a solution!
EricofAZ
I use Bert's Pink Sugar. Very strong, normal wicking for me. I sometimes push it to 1.5 oz/pp without any issues. Paraffin though. ECO wicks.I'm really sold on ECO's for good and consistent performance and low sooting.

elliecat
Yes this oil is super hard to wick but after millions of tests I found that in my 4 oz -2.7 diameter cup using Ecosoya 135 with only 3 grams of fragrance and a Eco 4 wick this burns nice and the scent comes through even with this little amount of FO. This took me at least 8 candle tests to get this right. I have found this oil to be a love or a hate with the customers. I usually don't like sweet scents but I like this one so does my mom and my nieces.
