Lorrie
What % of persevative are you adding? And what type? I have also heard that some people are only figuring the % on how much oil and sugar they are adding. They do not include the FBB to figure the figuring. Thanks for any of you that can help me get my thinking straight.

Lorrie
So not including the sugar? Just want to make sure. And thanks for answering.
Gene
It shouldn't need a lot, you are trying to offset the water that will get introduced during use, which is a very small percentage. Preservative are used to keep nasties from growing in the water. no water, no bugs. 1% of the oils and butter will be more than adequate. maryann
Correct, don't include the sugars. I use Phenonip as a preservative, it works well w/ oil based products. HTH
