eugenia
Lavender soaps beautifully. If it's a strong one, try it at 1/2 pp of oils.e
Melly
My lavender FO soaps beautifully, no Acceleration, no discoulouration. If your nervous about it you could always make a small batch first, but ive never heard of any problems with it.
Scent Cellar
If you are using Peak's lavender I must warn you that it is extremely strong. I use 1/2 oz for a batch of 40 ounces of oils and it is plenty strong. Less is better when using Peak's lavender in CP soap.

maryann
To turn the subject a little ...adding actual lavender buds to the top is a no-no though right?? I think I remember reading that they turn brown or black in CP & M&P.
Meridith
I've always had lavender seize on me. I now use full water and that seems to help. I've added lavender buds to the tops of my soaps with no problems. They sell like crazy too.
Jeana
To turn the subject a little ...adding actual lavender buds to the top is a no-no though right?? I think I remember reading that they turn brown or black in CP & M&P. I remember reading this too, right after I just made a batch with flowers. Ooops! But actually for me they are fine. I've used them several times. I use only EO so maybe it is the FO that makes them turn black. I put them on the top and also chop the buds and add to the rest of the soap, they don't turn black either. This soap is one of my best ever sellers. It is the only one people take 3 at a time.
