OutlandishLady
Made this for an event I'm doing. Silk & shea M&P with brown sugar suspended in it for a scrubby feel, and of course scented with brown sugar FO. OutlandishLady
I just used dark brown sugar. I like that because it gives the soap just enough natural color so I don't have to add anything else.

Michi
Oh I love that!! That mold is sooo pretty, and what a creative idea, adding the brown sugar to it.Hey, did you embelish the tops a bit with paint? I see some highlighted areas on the top that look like you brushed gold color of some sort on it.Very pretty, I've never seen that mold before. OutlandishLady
The color variation is due to the brown sugar, isn't that cool? It does look goldish, but you have to use the dark brown sugar. For some reason the light brown doesn't show up much at all. I like that mold a lot too, it's one of my faves. Here's my recipe if anyone wants to try it:1 lb WSP Silk & Shea M&P (though you could use any M&P I 'spose)2 Tbsp dark brown sugar1 tsp brown sugar FOMelt your soap as usual and add the sugar. You have to stir stir stir while the soap cools a bit so the sugar will remain suspended. I use a glass measuring cup so I can look through the sides. Once the sugar stops sinking pour away!Don't eat it no matter how great it smells! I have been known to sample to sugar once I'm done though I'm going to try this with the Light Muscovado from Scent Works once it arrives. jwahlton
Does the scrubby feeling stay throughout the use of the bar? That would be cool
