jfields
I am in Indianapolis, but I am starting to get quite a few customers in the Cincinnati area that I ship to. Do I charge them sales tax? And if so, is it the tax rate for Ohio? Thanks,Jennifer
bravo5
I'm in Illinois, so I'm not sure it's the same- I would ask your accountant to be sure. But here, I don't have to charge sales tax if the sale is made online or over the phone and shipped out of the state- only if it's shipped in state. Scented
I think it would be your tax rate, because the product essentially is being bought from your area, regardless of where they are ordering from. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Blest2BAmerican
In California, we only have to collect tax on items sold to customers within in California. If it is shipped to another state then we don't have to collect.
Jane42
When I shop online, it only taxes me if the company I am doing business with is located in the same state.
