candelecandlecompany Posted April 2, 2006 Share Posted April 2, 2006 Here is what I use:Type of Soy or Soy Blend you use?Container wax and tarts = Cargill NatureWax C3 One Pour Soy.Votives= Eco Soya PB.Additives if any?We only use UV Inhibitor= 1/4 tsp. per lb. of soy wax.Preferred dyes?Color Buds and Color blocks.Preferred wick (Not sizes)?We only use ECO wicks for all of our wicking needs.Pouring temp you recommend?We pour our soy candles anywhere between 100-125 degrees.What you do to prevent frosting?We don't do anything to prevent this because we don't have this problem.What you do to prevent rough tops?We never have rough tops.Do you do anything to prevent wet spots?We never have wet spot in the frosted jars but we do occassionally with the clear jars. Tap candles on wood board after they are poured to help air bubbles escape. Cool in box covered by a heavy blanket. After cooling for two-three hours swish wick around in candle to let any air out then touch up with a heat gun and center the wick again. Cover once again.
