southerngirlspa
My son is doing a science fair project on whether or not the coloring in candles makes a difference in their burn time. For example, white versus red versus green, etc. Have any of you experienced anything that would be helpful to him in the research portion of this project? Do you know of any websites or candle supply companies that referenced this topic at all? Any thoughts or help you may be able to offer is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Dustpuuppy
Someone on the old board did some comparison burns and found some differences. I think his red one burned a bit slower than one other one. I'm a little fuzzy on the details, but you could search for it in the archives. I think this person was helping his kid do almost the same science project. If you could find the post, you could PM the poster, for more info. SatinDucky
I imagine it would depend on what was used for coloring, ie. liquid dyes, pigments, etc. The amount of color as well, whether a light green or deep dark green, because it would be influenced by how much coloring is needed to reach it. Scented
Put black and patchouli together. I don't really find a difference in the colors as much as I do in the scents.
