Ideas for scenting the inside of your purse?

Just dropping in a cotton ball or bit of fabric with some FO on it could leave oil stains in your purse.  I saw these little plastic "cages" that looked a lot like a scent locket that you wear around your neck, but they were kind of expensive.  I thought about a little metal ball that is for dipping loose tea leaves in water, but the clasp on the one I have is constantly coming loose (useless for tea) and if it did that in your purse you're back to my point above about it getting oil loose in the purse.  Would you guys have any other ideas for that?

Would an aromatherapy locket work? It’s just a drop of oil on a piece of felt inside of a little cage.

Yep!  A little "cage" like that would probably do it.  Now I know to google "aromatherapy locket".  Thanks!
