Soya
If glass is thicker would one need to wick up or down? I'm thinking thick glass doesnt get as hot? Just curious.
geekrunner
Since glass can heat up, thick glass will take more heat to get to a certain temperature than thin glass. If you have a given size flame, the thinner glass will heat up faster than thicker glass. Since we also know glass tends to insulate, then for a given size flame, more heat will be retained inside the candle container.Since this essentially boils down to a 50/50 choice, my educated guess would be to wick down one size. But I could be wrong. geek
Soya
Thanks Geek...We want the glass to heat up don't we........so the wax that clings to the sides comes down? I have some nice containers I want to wick that have thick glass. I will post my findings when I figure it out.
