casbboy Posted August 23, 2022 Share Posted August 23, 2022 I test my essential oil blends in oil warmers and love the blends I have so far. Usually based around certain citrus oils, they smell insane good... when in an essential oil warmer and or diffuser. But I'm struggling with the candle side. I'm doing the typical 1oz oil to lb wax, and the final candle smells amazing when NOT lit. It's the exact scent I want, but lighting it and all I get is a hot Citronella, that I definitely don't want. I'm using soy wax with woodwick wicks. My theory is that my wick is getting way too hot for the wax, creating the unpleasant smell. But was curious about any other feedback you guys might have. Cheers!
