Ben12098
Hello I would like to start making pillar candles and am looking for a sustainable wax. After having done some research, I want to try rapeseed wax. The only issue seems to be that it is too soft to be used in pillar candles. There are different rapeseed waxes for pillar candles on the market, but they all use up to 10% of synthetic additives. However, I would like to make a candle without any synthetic additives, if possible. Do you think it is possible to make a rapeseed wax pillar candle without synthetic additives, maybe by mixing in another type of wax or using another trick? Thanks so much for your suggestions in advance! Ben

CandleCocoon
Yes, you can mix harder waxes into rapeseed to make it harder. You could also try adding stearic acid which is naturally derived and hardens a lot.
