VOTIVE BURN TEMPS

Hi and welcome!

I’ve never seen any specs specifically for votives from ASTM. Their published limit for containers is 170*F (I’ve seen references to 175*F and will search for the most recent revision to be certain.)

home goods has a published list of specs for candles that is more stringent than most of us have used. 125*F limit for metal and 140*F limit for glass. Curious now what ASTM revision most retailers use!
