Butters and Oils

Hi.  It pretty much depends on what kinds of oils and butters you're planning to use.  And, also how much you're looking to purchase as well as how much you want to spend.  I normally don't use a whole lot at a time, so mine lasts awhile longer than others, so I don't require much.  I recently ordered some Shea Butter from Brambleberry and that wasn't too bad in price for me.  I wish I had more info for you...

Soapers choice, brambleberry, JEdward’s, wholesale supplies plus, etc all have decent quality for decent prices (esp during sales)

check restaurant suppliers, Costco, etc. for common oils.

as cross sticks said, it depends on what you need, and what quantity.

I buy mango butter and shea butter from LotionCrafter, and I'm about 20lbs into each with no problems. As with any supplier, I'd recommend tempering your butters or at least heating them above 165f for at least a few minutes to get the stearic acid portion to fully melt.
