DIY Hemp Wick with Vegan Wax

Hello!

I'm looking to make hemp wicks in large quantities with vegan wax (I'll resort to beeswax if I have to though).

There is only one retailer that I could find online that makes and sells vegan hemp wick, and they use Rice Bran Wax, claiming it has a slower burn than beeswax.

I have not made wicks before, and I will be using hemp twine. From what I found online, you can dunk a large spool of hemp into a tub of beeswax, submerge it until the bubbles stop coming to the surface, and then let the wax dry. Does this sound like the correct technique? Since I'm making them in large quantities, would this be the best way to do so?

Could anyone share their experience with using vegan wax as an alternative? I'm open to coconut wax, soy wax etc, and if you have any sources to show how best to achieve this it would be incredibly appreciated!

Thank you so much for your time!
