Mermaid562
Hello. I’ve been having so much trouble getting white residue off of my silicone molds even after re washing a couple of times. I’ve tried vinegar soaks, Dawn hot water soak, wiping with 99% rubbing alcohol, seems like nothing works. Also, what is the quickest way to dry them? I used to use the laundry dryer. I heard the oven is good but not sure of degrees and how long. Thanks!
TallTayl
Some silicone finishes are just really bad about residue. Do you have a photo? when I need to really remove wax, ammonia is typically where I look. Or a degreasing detergent. If Dawn doesn’t do it, then it’s likely the microscopic surface of the silicone is really rough. drying I’ve just left upside down on a rack. Or on top of a fan if I need it fast. A heat gun might do the trick, but then it will need to cool off before pouring again.
